New York, 13, May 2022– The four-day 15thINTERNATIONAL TELECOMS WEEK 2022 was held from 09 – 12 May 2022 at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, Near Washington DC, USA. The event is the Mecca of the ICT industry and sets the stage to meet key industry players representing the international connectivity market, from satellite to subsea.
The theme #KeepingTheWorldConnected was reflected in all the sessions of the event while shedding light on a variety of aspects that interest Bankai group and its innovators such as:
A constantly evolving ICT landscape not only pushes innovation and infrastructure of telecom but also the scrutiny of products and services that the industry is offering This was extensively discussed in one of the keynote sessions on the topic “A Re-Imagined Purpose for Telecoms” which offered intensely insightful comments from the panel.
Collaboration for telcos is a must in lieu of the pending automation for a complete transformation needs a lot of help from softwarization. The acknowledgment of the struggles to deliver a successful growth plan is real and the interactions with peers and businesses showed promising commitments for the future. The certain willingness to actively become part of the solution sets the high standards of comradery as well as our newfound admiration for the Telcom fraternity.
In 2021, 2.22% of the Global Telecom Revenues or over $39.89bn was lost to telecom fraud across the industry, and the session on “Spotlight on Frauds” had Bankai Group’s Global Business Development Head Chanderhas Rana on the panel to discuss Fraud and Telecom’s coping mechanisms.
The events also talked about digital infrastructure, changing perception of ICT infrastructure, which is attracting new investors, investing to capitalize on enterprise digital transformation growth, efforts to connect the disconnected from the internet, and telecom’s plans for rural deployments.
There were continued discussions about regulations and compliance, Cybersecurity concerns with connected devices, and CSPs’ effort to capitalize on the potential of a trillion-dollar Metaverse revenue opportunity.
The insights gained during the event aid the demand analysis of the market as well as highlight the need for strategic innovations to yield better results through new offerings in the time to come.
