A strong sentiment that resonated throughout the event was the vision of “One Gigabit Society” by 2030. Damian Blackburn, President of International Operations at One Communications, emphasized on collaboration with an African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. Our Chief Business Development Officer (Asia/ Middle East/ Oceania/ Caribbean), Mr. Aayush Barot, also shared valuable insights on the topic ‘Communication 2025 – The Year of Collaboration.’
Supporting the Caribbean 2030 vision, he outlined how collaboration will pave the way for the telecom sector to achieve sustainable growth. Further, he highlighted trends that will be revolutionizing the change in the telecom sector and attributed them to AI and machine learning, multi-lingual digital communications, speech recognition, and cultural intelligence. He added that collaboration between telecom operators, technology partners, and regulatory bodies will play a critical role in driving innovation in the upcoming years.
